KISHI BASHI

The multi-talented Kishi Bashi is also the lead singer of the electro band Jupiter One which he co-founded in 2011. His fourth album Omoiyari ("empathy" in Japanese) from 2016 was followed up by a crowd-funded documentary film "Omoiyari: A songfilm by Kishi Bashi" which deals about what it's like to be a minority in the U.S. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in March 2022. Kishi Bashi has also played at the Austin City Limits festival.In August 2024, Kishi Bashi's new album Kantos was released.
