Elaha Sorooris a singer, composer, and activist whose art amplifies the voices of women and marginalised communities. Together with the award-winning collective Kefaya, she creates a powerful soundscape that bridges traditional Afghan folk with modern global music.

Formed by London-based musicians Al MacSween, Giuliano Modarelli, and Joost Hendrickx, Kefaya gained acclaim for their debut Radio International, and later for their stunning collaboration with Elaha Soroor on Songs of Our Mothers(Bella Union, 2019) — an album praised for its courage, beauty, and deep emotional power.

Known for their high-energy live performances and virtuosic musicianship, Kefaya have performed across the UK, Europe, India, and Australia, sharing stages with artists like Vieux Farka Touré, 47 Soul, and Omar Souleyman, and appearing at major festivals such as WOMAD, Latitude, and SXSW.
