KINGS OF RAP

The film successfully combines criminal intrigue, a love story, vibrant music, and stylish visuals, and became a favorite at the Odessa International Film Festival(2021), where it premiered. Later, Kings of Rapreceived numerous awards and rave reviews at international film events, earning the title of a “new cult Ukrainian blockbuster.”

17-year-old boy nicknamed Kazan (Mykhailo Dziuba) dreams of becoming a famous rapper and winning the heart of his girlfriendabove all else. Kazan is willing to take risks for his dreams, but circumstances steer his life in a different direction, where he must fight for success, fight for love, fight for survival...

A story of person’s growing up, fatal mistakes, searching for one's place in life and love — it is no surprise that the first viewers compared Kings of Rapto the cult film8 Mile: like the beating of a heart, rap echoes throughout the film, and the famous Ukrainian performer Anton Velboy(Wellboy) brilliantly coped with one of the central roles.

Ukrainian film and theater star Irma Vitovskaalso appears in the film in a completely unexpected role. Her scenes are striking in their brightness and emotionality, and they are so accurate that the plot seems even more voluminous and profound.

Young charismatic actors and masters of the screen, powerful soundtracks, an original story, rave reviews from film critics, unexpected plot twists – all this makes Kings of Rapa notable phenomenon and one of the main premieres of this summer!
