Vivian Pérez is a Cuban pianist and arranger based in Stockholm, and the creative force behind Luz D’Habana— a unique Afro-Cuban jazz band she founded in Havana in 2013. With two albums and an EP released, and tours across Central America, Pérez has established herself as one of the most dynamic new voices on the Swedish music scene.
Today, Luz D’Habana brings together five musicians from Cuba, Sweden, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia, blending the spirit of Cuban music with pop, rap, funk, soul, and reggae. The result is a vibrant, high-energy sound that moves effortlessly between tradition and modernity.
Regularly performing at some of Stockholm’s most beloved venues — including Stampen, S:t Eriks JazzBar, S:ta Clara, Stockholm Under Stjärnorna, Kulturoasen, and Hotell Hellsten— and featured in Selam Sessions, the band continues to light up stages with their infectious rhythms and joyful performances.
Experience Vivian Pérez & Luz D’Habana live at Global Sounds Festival— a night where Havana’s heartbeat meets Stockholm’s skyline.
